5 Days Total Collection of Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro
Despite being year’s one of the much awaited movies, Ashutosh Gowariker’s directorial Mohenjo Daro has not come out so well on box office. Because of the presence of superstar Hrithik Roshan, it has been released with high buzz among his fans as well as audience but opened on a decent note across the country.
The major reason behind such disappointing run of Mohenjo Daro is none other than, the Akshay Kumar starrer much awaited thriller drama Rustom. Due to this clash and mixed reviews of critics, Hrithik starrer has become the second choice of audience and lagging behind by much difference.
As per trade analysts, Mohenjo Daro could get better if it got released solo. In intention to enjoy holiday week, its makers have lost almost everything. On the opening day, the movie recorded 30-35% of occupancy across the country and did the business of 8.87 crores. On Saturday being weekend, it witnessed little rise in its business and raked the amount of 9.30 crores.
On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, it showed decent growth and collected 12.08 crores. With this, Mohenjo Daro took its opening weekend domestic collection to 30.55 crores. Now the movie is running in weekdays but due to holiday on Monday (Independence Day of India), it remained almost steady and collected the amount of 10.27 crores across the country.
On the next day i.e. Tuesday, as expected it faced abrupt fall in its occupancy and added the amount of 3.16 crores to its account with abrupt fall of 64% than Friday. With this, total 5 days collection of Mohenjo Daro has become 43.98 crores across the country.
