Box Office: OK Jaanu 7th Day Collection, Remains Below 20 Cr Total after 1st Week

Last Friday released, the first awaited Hindi offering of the year OK Jaanu has completed its one week journey on box office and showed an average performance through out. Being the second collaboration of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor after the musical hit Aashiqui 2, this one was also expected to get good response from audience but everything came out in opposite.

OK Jaanu is the official Hindi remake of Tamil romantic drama OK Kanmani by star producer Karan Johar. Because of having exactly the same story line as original, most of the critics have rated it with low stars. Also it has received mixed reaction from viewers. Despite the sizzling chemistry between Aditya & Shraddha, the movie got failed to impress audience.

Despite Lohri holiday, Shaad Ali’s directorial remained almost flat over the weekend and did the business of 13.80 crores, which included 4.08 crores of Friday, 4.90 crores of Saturday and 4.82 crores of Sunday. While the new Hollywood offering, xXx Return of Xander Cage reported the business of 20.50 crores (incl. 1.75 crore of Friday’s Paid Previews) in its 2-days weekend.

Then in weekdays, asusual OK Jaanu witnessed lesser occupancy in theaters due to normal working days. On Monday, the movie faced almost 52% of drop and raked the business of 1.95 crore. With further decrements, it minted the amount of 1.35 crore on Tuesday and 1.05 crore on Wednesday.

On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Shraddha-Adi starrer received more drop and added the amount of 0.85 crore to its account. With this, total one week collection of the movie has become 19 crores on domestic box office.
