Box Office: Pink 21st Day Collection, Emerges as Big B’s 2nd Highest Grossing Movie in 3 Weeks

21 Days Total Collection of Shoojit Sircar’s Pink

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang & Angad Bedi starrer Pink has thoroughly cashed the super positive reviews of audience as well as critics on box office. The movie has been released with decent buzz but with its strong content, it impressed everyone and become the second highest grossing movie of Big B’s career so far after Piku.

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s directorial Pink had witnessed excellent response of audience across the country till its second week and still has enough hold despite highly awaited M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story in opposite. In its opening week, it recorded terrific occupancy through out and did the business of 35.91 crores with 21.51 crores of weekend & 14.40 crores of weekdays.

In the second week too, it remained strong despite several new Hindi releases and registered the business of 21.87 crores with 15.21 crores of weekend & 6.66 crores of weekdays. In its third week due to M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story, Pink faced much loss in its occupancy but still managed to stay steady.

In the third weekend, the movie minted the amount of 4.05 crores with 1.08 crore of Friday, 1.35 crore of Saturday and 1.62 crore of Sunday. After this, the total domestic collection of Pink was recorded as 61.83 crores. Then once again, in weekdays Pink witnessed lesser occupancy than before.

On last Monday, it faced almost 60% of drop than last Friday and collected the amount of 0.45 crore. With same downtrend, the movie collected the amount of 0.45 crore on Tuesday and 0.36 crore on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Pink reported similar response and added the amount of 0.36 crore. With this, its 3 weeks total has become 63.45 crores and dragged very close to surpass the lifetime total of Satyagraha (63.74 crores) on domestic box office.
