Box Office: Rock On 2 1st Day Collection, Starts on an Average Note Nationwide

Opening Day Total Collection of Rock On 2 from Indian Screens

Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal & Shraddha Kapoor starrer musical drama film Rock On 2 is the new Hindi offering of this week. Due to the success of its prequel Rock On (2008) and wide scale promotions, it has been released with much buzz among audience but witnessed an average response through out its opening day on Indian box office.

Viewers are reacting in favor of it, but the film has received mixed reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. Some of them have marked it as rocking and some commented disappointing. In such circumstances there is good news for Rock On 2, that fans & audience have enjoyed it and showing thumbs up.

The ban on 500 & 1000 notes, has affected box office by high rate. Also previous releases Ae Dil Hai Mushkil & Shivaay are heading smoothly, so it was not possible for Rock On 2 to open with big numbers. Because of this, makers of horror thriller Saansein have postponed its release to 25 November 2016 opposite to Shahrukh-Alia’s Dear Zindagi.

Reportedly Rock On 2 has 1700 screens across the country and reported very low occupancy of only 10% for morning shows. From evening it received little better in multiplexes and registered the below average opening business of 2.02 crores on domestic box office. As audience liked the film, so it is expected to take decent growth on Saturday and Sunday.
