Saturday Performance of Farhan-Arjun-Shraddha’s Rock On 2
The sequel of 2008’s musical drama Rock On has been released this Friday and taken below average start on domestic box office. Right now entire country is facing financial problem due to demonetization of Rs. 500 & 1000 notes. This has badly affected the business of movies on box office, the same is happening with Rock On 2. Successfully running Diwali releases Shivaay & Ae Dil Hai Mushkil have also witnessed sudden speed-break in their performance after the ban on currency.
Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Rock On 2 was expected to receive decent response on box office. But due to circumstances and mixed reviews by critics, it is not getting much audience in theaters. Fans are showing good excitement towards the movie but that is not enough to make it run smoothly.
On the opening day, Shujaat Saudagar’s directorial had reported poor occupancy of only 10% in the morning. After evening it witnessed little better and did the business of 2.02 crores across 1700 screens from India. After such disappointing performance of the movie, everyone gave his/her opinion and the one which is common; “People are not watching Rock On 2 because these days their priorities are different.”
On Saturday too, this musical drama remained on ground. Reportedly, it has minted the amount of 2.41 crores on its second day and made its 2-days total collection as 4.43 crores on domestic box office. Being holiday, the movie is positively expected to rake little higher than these 2 days.
