Superstar Ajay Devgn’s recent offering, the very much awaited Shivaay had reported excellent business in its opening week and still has strong hold over audience in the second week. Being year’s one of the much anticipated movies, it has been released with enormous hype among fans and as expected received very favorable response from viewers across the country.

Due to heavy competition, Shivaay has recorded lesser business than the adjacent release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil so far but because of appreciable performance of Ajay and mind blowing visuals, it has received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers. Also it got higher ratings than the opposite one on IMDb.

In the opening week, Shivaay successfully cashed the multiple holidays and did the excellent business of 70.41 crores, including 28.56 crores of weekend and 41.85 crores of weekdays. Due to strong word of mouth, the movie remained rock steady through out the week.

Now it has entered in the second week and started witnessing jump in its occupancy due to weekend. On its 2nd Friday, the movie reported usual drop than Thursday and raked the business of 4.61 crores. On the next day i.e. Saturday, Shivaay showed decent rise and added the amount of 5.40 crores to its account.

With this, 9 days total of Ajay’s directorial Shivaay has become 80.42 crores on domestic box office. The movie is positively expected to receive more jump on Sunday and remain strong till the end of this week also.
