Hindi version of the 2015’s biggest Indian blockbuster Baahubali has got a chance to play it’s 2nd inning at box office. Yes, it has been re-released this Friday under the banners Dharma Production and AA Films with record number of screens, which emerged it as the widest re-release ever in India.

Baahubali in cinemas again, 1st day collection

Earlier ace director SS Rajamouli’s this magnum opus was released with 1500 screens for Hindi language across the country and did the opening business of 5.15 crores. This time it’s Hindi version has been released on 1000 screens and has no serious competition with new Hindi offerings.

As expected, on the opening day Baahubali recorded higher occupancy in theaters than all the new noticeable Hindi films Mirza Juuliet, Laali Ki Shaadi and Mukti Bhawan of this week and earned higher than the summation of their opening businesses. On Friday with overall 15% of occupancy, it reported the business of around 0.75 crore.

It can take fair jump on Saturday & Sunday to register a satisfied opening weekend total. Re-releasing the first part of the film just before the release of it’s second part, is a smart move. This will definitely build a huge hype for the upcoming Baahubali 2, which is scheduled to be released on 28th April.
