Box Office: Sultan 35th Day Collection, Crosses 300 Cr Total across India

Salman Khan’s Sultan 35 Days Total Collection

Superstar Salman Khan’s recent offering, Sultan has successfully crossed the mark of 300 crores on domestic box office. With this it has become the third movie of Indian cinema to enter in this club after Aamir Khan’s PK and Salman’s own Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The sports drama Sultan has received huge support and love from fans as well as audience, which led it to such great height.

Being Salman Khan starrer, Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial has been released with humongous buzz across the globe and as expected witnessed phenomenal response in its early weeks. With time it slowed down but kept maintained a steady pace. Despite new releases, it remained almost unaffected and kept increased its business total with every single day.

In the opening week, Sultan reported exceptional occupancy through out and did the whopping business of 229.16 crores across the country; including 180.36 crores of 5-days weekend and 48.80 crores of weekdays. In the second week, it reported the business of 48.80 crores with 34.07 crores of weekend and 14.73 crores of weekdays.

In the third week, the movie had superstar Rajinikanth’s much awaited Kabali in opposite but managed to add the amount of 15.84 crores in its account; including 11.09 crores of weekend and 4.75 crores of weekdays. In the fourth week despite new Hindi release DishoomSultan minted the considerable amount of 4.43 crores with 3.06 crores of weekend and 1.37 crore of weekdays.

After the four weeks, total collection of the movie was recorded as 298.23 crores on domestic box office and 162.10 crores from overseas market. Now it is running in the fifth week and due to no new big release in this week, Sultan secured the decent business of 1.51 crore in the weekend.

Once again, the movie is in weekdays and asusual getting very low response. On Monday, Sultan faced almost 30% of drop than last Friday and did the business of 0.16 crore. Then on Tuesday, it reported almost similar response and added the amount of 0.16 crore to its account. With this, its 35-days total collection has become 300.06 crores nationwide.

Reportedly till the evening, it has been entered in the 300 crores club and became the first movie of Yash Raj Films in this segment. Now out of three- PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Sultan, two movies belong to the ‘Sultan of box office’ Salman Khan.
