Box Office: Sultan 6th Day Collection, Passes Monday Test on an Excellent Note

Latest Hindi offering, Sultan is shattering all previous records and soaring on box office. Being superstar Salman Khan starrer, the movie has been released with massive hype among audience across the globe. As expected it has received very positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers, which have generated strong word of mouth about it everywhere.

Audience liked Sultan and showing big thumbs up for it. Fans of Salman are very excited with the outstanding performance of the movie and creating huge buzz about it on social media. These positive reactions form all over the world attracting more audience toward theaters. That is why, this Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial sports drama has ended the opening weekend journey phenomenally.

Sultan has been released on 4350 screens across the country and reported the biggest opening of the year so far with the amount of 36.54 crores. With this, it has also emerged as the third highest opener of all time in Bollywood after HNY & PRDP. On the second day, being holiday due to Eid festival it witnessed impressive growth and did the business of 37.32 crores nationwide.

On its third day i.e. Friday, the movie faced a drop of almost 20% than previous day and raked the business of 31.67 crores. Then on Saturday, being weekend Sultan showed decent growth in its business and collected the amount of 36.62 crores. On the last day of weekend, being Sunday it reported higher response than last 4 days and minted 38.21 crores.

After the 5 days weekend, total domestic collection of Yash Raj Films’ Sultan was recorded as 180.36 crores, which is highest opening weekend collection registered by any Hindi movie so far. Now the movie has entered in weekdays and as usual started witnessing lesser response than weekend but still stands very strong.

On Monday, Sultan started the day with almost 50% lesser occupancy than weekend but still projecting to add the amount of around 15.54 crores as its sixth day collection. With this, its 6 days total will become 195.90 crores on domestic box office. The movie is all set to emerge as highest opening week grossing movie of all time in Bollywood by breaking the record of Dhoom 3.

In overseas, Sultan has been released on 1100 screens and witnessing outstanding response. Till Sunday, the movie has raked the total business of 91.93 crores from there, that includes 20.50 crores of Wednesday, 18.71 crores of Thursday, 17.66 crores of Friday, 17 crores of Saturday and 18.06 crores of Sunday.
