Ribhu Dasgupta’s directorial suspense thriller TE3N has reported decent business in the opening weekend but seems failed to maintain the pace in weekdays. Despite positive reviews from critics, the movie is struggling on box office. Not only critics, but audience also liked it and found it gripping but still the results are not so good. The major reason behind this is Hollywood’s horror movie The Conjuring 2, which has diverted much audience towards itself.
In the opening weekend, TE3N raked the business of 11.13 crores only, that includes 2.61 crores of Friday, 3.97 crores of Saturday and 4.55 crores of Sunday. It was expected to hold decent in weekdays too but nothing happened in that way. On Monday, the movie witnessed almost 70% of drop than previous day and minted the amount of 1.40 crore.
On the next day i.e. Tuesday, it did the business of 1.37 crore with slight more drop almost similar response. Then on Wednesday, it received slight drop in its business and minted the amount of 1.28 crore as its 6th day collection. With this, total collection of TE3N on domestic box office has become 15.19 crores.
The adjacent release, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani had witnessed low response in the weekend but as compare to its screen count, the business of 3.74 crores can be considered as almost decent. The weekend total includes 1.03 crore of Friday, 1.26 crore of Saturday and 1.45 crore of Sunday. With regular decline in the business graph, movie raked 0.51 crore on Monday , 0.49 crore on Tuesday and 0.42 crore on Wednesday. After the 6th day of release, total collection of Do Lafzon Ki Kahani is recorded as 5.16 crores.
