‘Brothers’ 13th Day Collection: Now the 7th Highest Grosser Movie of 2015

Akshay Kumar & Sidharth Malhotra starrer latest emotional drama movie Brothers has now become the 7th highest grosser movie of year 2015 so far by dominating Deepika Padukone & Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Piku’. The movie has done this in just 12 days of release and now heading towards breaking the record of Akshay’s last release Gabbar Is Back. It is not so easy for it to chase more targets as the pace of the movie has been slowed down now. Brothers experienced abrupt drop in its business from the second week.

In the first week, Brothers received mixed reviews from critics but because of its strong story and audinece support, it was successfully managed to collect excellent figure as total. The positive environment that the fans of Akshay were created for his movie, is not wokring in the seocnd week. The new releases Manjhi & All Is Well are not performing impressively but still Brothers is not getting much at box office now.

It was done the business of total 72.60 crores as first week domestic total that was included 52.08 crores of weekend and 20.52 crores of weekdays. In its second weekend, it made 6.10 crores as total that included 1.40 crore of Friday, 2 crores of Saturday and 2.70 crores of Sunday. Till the end of the its 2nd weekend, the total collection of Brothers was 78.70 crores.

As the movie has now entered in weekdays again, it started facing drops in its occupancy and business. On Monday it was collected approx. 1.20 crore as its 11th day collection and 0.90 crore on Tuesday as its 12th day collection. On next day i.e. on 13th day at box office, it recorded lower occupancy than previous day and minted approx. 0.86 crore.
