Couple of weeks back released Hindi drama movie Dear Zindagi still has enough hold over audience and getting considerable response on box office despite new releases like Kahaani 2 & the latest one Befikre. Being highly star powered and promoted, this superstar Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer was released with great excitement of fans and witnessed overwhelmed response of audience across the globe.

From critics also, Dear Zindagi has received very positive reviews, which created strong word mouth about it and attracted more audience toward theaters. With its simple but interesting story and brilliant performances of lead stars, the Gauri Shinde’s directorial has impressed everyone and surpassed the lifetime total of Udta Punjab, for which Alia has recently bagged the best actress of the year awards at Star Screen Awards 2016.

In the opening week, the movie had reported excellent occupancy through out across the country and did the business of 47 crores, that included 32.50 crores of weekend and 14.50 crores of weekdays. Then in the second week, it showed almost steady performance despite Kahaani 2 and registered the amount of 14.49 crores including 10.10 crores of weekend and 4.39 crores of weekdays.

After 2 weeks, total collection of Dear Zindagi was recorded as 61.49 crores on domestic box office. Now it is running in its third week and has Ranveer Singh & Vaani Kapoor’s much hyped Befikre in opposite. On its 3rd Friday, the movie faced more than 35% of drop and added the amount of 0.55 crore to its account. On the next day i.e. 3rd Saturday, it reported little growth due to weekend and managed to collect 1.10 crore and made its 16 days domestic total as 63.14 crores.
