SKR’s Dilwale is Lagging Behind SLB’s Bajirao Mastani
Superstar Shahrukh Khan has recently shared screen with her favorite co-star Kajol in Dilwale. It is one of the much awaited movies of the year as Raj-Simran have made their comeback on silver screen after a long time together. Dilwale was released on 18th of December with huge excitement of audience and witnessed overwhelmed response across the country as well as in overseas. The movie showed tremendous performance in its first week and received positive reviews from most of the critics as well as moviegoers. Major portion of audience has showed thumbs up to it but some got titled toward the adjacent release Bajirao Mastani, which resulted out in some loss for Dilwale.
In the opening week Shahrukh, Kajol, Varun and Kriti starrer Dilwale was recorded excellent occupancy through out its first weekend but comparatively lower in weekdays. It was raked the total business of 102.65 crores in first week that includes 65.09 crores of weekend and 37.56 crores working days. This SRK starrer was expected to take decent rise in its business on second weekend but its hasn’t happened in that way. In the second weekend, the movie was minted the amount of 21.23 crores that comprises 8.11 crores of Friday, 6 crores of Saturday and 7.12 crores of Sunday. As per report, movie did the total business of 110.83 crores till its 10th day from overseas screens.
Now once again Dilwale has started facing less audience response in theaters due to normal working days. On Monday, it was witnessed more than 50% of drop than Sunday and collected the amount of 2.70 crores. On Tuesday it recorded slight rise and made 3.12 crores at Indian box office. Wednesday has resulted out in almost similar response as Tuesday and added 3.13 crores more to its account. Till the end of its 13th day, total domestic collection of Dilwale is recorded as 132.83 crores. Including all the shares, this movie has grossed over 300 crores at worldwide box office.
