‘Dilwale’ is Heading Slowly now!
Rohit Shetty’s directorial last month released film Dilwale is heading very slowly now and seems to be packed up till the end of this week, as next week new Hindi emotional drama film Wazir of Amitabh Bachchan & Farhan Akhtar is getting released with good buzz among audience. Dilwale was released on 18th of December with huge excitement among Shahrukh Khan’s fans and ofcourse Bollywood lovers.
Most of the critics had reviewed it with positive comments and showed thumbs up to it. It was also received overwhelmed response from audience across the globe in early days but it got slowed down abruptly. With a decent but steady performance, the adjacent film Bajirao Mastani has dominated it on domestic box office and in the efforts to chase it on overseas box office too.
Dilwale was reported outstanding business in its opening week and collected the amount of 102.65 crores on Indian box office, that includes 65.09 crores of weekend and 37.56 crores of weekdays. In the second week, it faced heavy drops and raked the business of only 32.56 crores that comprises 21.23 crores of weekend and 11.33 crores of weekdays. Till the end of 2 weeks, total collection of the film was calculated as 135.21 crores.
Now Dilwale is running in the third week and experienced slight rise in the weekend. It has minted the total amount of 7.71 crores in its third weekend that includes 3.41 crores of Friday, 1.90 crore of Saturday and 2.40 crores of Sunday. Till the end of its 17th day, total collection of the film is recorded as 142.92 crores on Indian screens.
