‘Dilwale’ is in efforts to takeover the Record of TWMR
The most romantic jodi of Bollywood, yes! you guess right- Raj aur Simran better known as Shahrukh Khan & Kajol Devgn. Both the stars have made their comeback together on silver screen after around five years with the movie Dilwale. Because of their presence, it had huge pre-release hype among audience and released on 18th of December with great excitement of fans. The movie was received overwhelmed response from audience across the country as well as overseas till its first week. From the second week, it was started facing heavy drops in its business and slowed down. But still it has grossed excellent total at domestic as well as overseas box office and entered in year 2015’s top 5 highest grosser movies.
Dilwale is directed by actions specialist Rohit Shetty and was earlier expected to do more better. But due to the clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical love story movie Bajirao Mastani, half a portion of audience get subtracted. The SRK starrer has received positive reviews from almost all viewers as well as critics and was taken an excellent start on box office. After the opening week, it lost its hold over audience and started getting low response. Due to which, the opposite one Bajirao Mastani has surpassed its total domestic collection till the second week.
In last two weeks, Dilwale was raked the total business of 135.21 crores on Indian screens, that includes 102.65 crores of first week and 32.56 crores of second week. In its third weekend, it was minted the amount of 7.71 crores, including 3.41 crores of Friday, 1.90 crore of Saturday and 2.40 crores of Sunday. Once again it has entered in normal working days and as expected getting low occupancy in theaters. It has collected the amount of 1.13 crore on its Monday and 1.02 crore of Tuesday. On the next day, it faced low response and added 0.83 crore as its 20th day collection. Till yet, total domestic collection of Dilwale has become 145.90 crores.
