‘Dilwale’ become 5th Highest Grosser of the Year
Last week released much awaited action romantic movie Dilwale of superstar Shahrukh Khan with stars Kajol, Varun Dhawan & Kriti Sanon has completed its one week journey with great performance. The movie was released with huge excitement of audience across the country as well as in overseas and received overwhelmed response through out. With the end of its first week, it has entered in 100 crore club at domestic box office and become the fifth highest highest grosser of the year so far. Now the movie is heading forward to surpass the lifetime domestic business of Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ABCD 2.
In its first weekend, Dilwale has reported excellent performance and done the business of total 65.09 crores on Indian screens only. That comprises 21 crores of Friday, 20.09 crores of Saturday and 24 crores of Sunday. The movie has also reported pretty well business of 56.38 crores from its overseas screens. In weekdays, Dilwale faced more than 50% of drop than weekend but still maintained well and collected total of 37.56 crores that includes 10.09 crores of Monday, 9.42 crores of Tuesday, 8.79 crores of Wednesday and 9.26 crores of Thursday. Till the end of its opening week, total domestic collection of Rohit Shetty’s directorial is recorded as 102.65 crores.
Now the movie has entered in the second week but as there is no new big release from Bollywood, so Dilwale is not facing any competition except the adjacent one Bajirao Mastani. On the 2nd Friday, being Christmas it has witnessed almost similar response as previous weekdays and minted the amount of 8.11 crores. The movie is positively expected to show good growth from Saturday.
