Bajirao Mastani v/s Dilwale
The biggest clash of year 2015 Dilwale vs Bajirao Mastani is about to end very soon, as the superstar Shahrukh Khan starrer action comedy Dilwale has lost all its hold over audience and now just crawling at box office. So it means only Bajirao Mastani is there to add more income to its account but for few days. Considering business stats of both the movies, Dilwale is expected to packed up after this week and Bajirao Mastani would survived for one more week till 21st January. On 22nd January, very much awaited movie Airlift of superstar Akshay Kumar is being released with huge excitement of audience and fans. After its release, there will be no scope for any other existing movie to perform in front of it.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani was did the total business of 177.35 crores in 24 days journey on Indian screens, that includes 86.15 crores of first week, 55.70 crores of second week, 29.05 crores of third week and 6.45 crores of 4th weekend. Whereas Rohit Shetty’s directorial action comedy Dilwale was collected the total amount of 148.02 crores, that includes 102.65 crores of first week, 32.56 crores of second week, 11.47 crores of third week and 1.34 crores of 4th weekend. On Domestic box office, Dilwale is lagging behind Bajirao Mastani but in overseas it is leading with good gap and grossed 150+ crores till yet whereas Bajirao Mastani has grossed approx. 100 crores.
Now once again, these movies have entered in weekdays and facing low audience response in theaters. On fourth Monday, Bajirao Mastani has witnessed the drop of more than 50% and raked the amount of 0.98 crore as its 25th day collection. Whereas Dilwale has done the business of only 0.20 crore* with more than 50% decline.
