Fan 3rd Day Collection: Crosses 50 Cr as Domestic Total in 1st Weekend

Shahrukh Khan’s Fan Completes Opening Weekend on an Excellent Note!

Yash Raj Films’ latest presentation, the Shahrukh Khan starrer thriller drama movie ‘Fan’ has released this Friday on box office with huge hype among audience. As expected it had taken a stupendous start and emerged as year’s biggest opener so far in India. The movie was strongly buzzing from a long time everywhere and after release getting amazing response from fans as well as audience. Almost all the critics have reviewed it with positive words but some are not satisfied with its direction. Even this shows in its business also, despite holiday Fan witnessed around 50% of occupancy on its opening day. Earlier which was expected to be more than 70% across India.

On its very first day, Maneesh Sharma’s directorial Fan had started the day with 45% of overall occupancy on 3500+ screens in India. Later it received decent growth from evening shows and minted the total amount of 19.20 cr as its opening day collection and become biggest opener of 2016 so far. After noticing the pre-release hype of Fan, all trade analysts were predicted the opening figure to be more than 25 cr. From its 1100+ overseas screens, the movie had reported the amount of 17.93 cr, that includes Thursday & Friday’s business.

On the next day it faced a considerable fall in its business graph and raked the amount of 15.40 cr. Then on the last day of weekend, being Sunday Fan witnessed decent growth in its business than Saturday and added the amount of 17.75 cr to its account as third day collection. At the end of its opening weekend, total collection of the movie is recorded as 52.35 cr on domestic box office. Fan has to maintain its pace till the end of this week, to collect a reputed total that suits with the level of superstar Shahrukh Khan.
