Coming closer to the mark of 200 crore with each single day, action comedy Golmaal Again has emerged as the 13th highest grossing movie of all time in Hindi cinema by surpassing the lifetime total of 2013’s blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger at domestic box office in 23 days of release.
Being the fourth installment of India’s popular comedy franchise Golmaal, Golmaal Again was released with great buzz and showed excellent performance in last 3 weeks despite having several new offerings in opposite. Now the movie is running in fourth week and still getting decent response nationwide.
On 4th Friday, Rohit Shetty’s directorial faced more than 44% of drop than previous day and minted the amount of 0.62 crore. While on the next day, once again it showed good growth of 87.1% and registered the business of 1.16 crore.
With this, the movie has dominated Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (198.78 crores) raised it’s 23 days total collection to 199.72 crores at domestic box office including 197.94 crores of last 3 weeks. By this weekend, it would be the first 200 crore grosser of the year and Ajay Devgn’s career as well.
In the opening week, on an outstanding note Golmaal Again did the business of 136.07 crores that included 87.60 crores of weekend and 48.47 crores of weekdays. In the second week as well, it remained strong and garnered 46.85 crores with 31.44 crores of weekend and 15.41 crores of weekdays.
Then in the third week, Ajay Devgn-Parineeti Chopra starrer dropped by usual rate and bagged the amount of 15.02 crores that included 10.58 crores of weekend and 4.44 crores of weekdays. Let see how much it will collect in the fourth week.
