‘Jai Gangaajal’ has Witnessed Slight Drop on Sunday

The desi girl Priyanka Chopra’s latest offering action thriller ‘Jai Gangaagal’ is getting positive response from audience across the country as well as in overseas. The film has completed opening weekend on a decent note; not very impressive as it could get. Prakash Jha’s directorial this latest installment of 2003’s Gangaajal, had taken a decent start at box office due to average initial buzz. After release it received positive reviews from critics and viewers, which generated good word of mouth about it among audience.

On Friday, Jai Gangaajal had received the overall occupancy of only 15-20% on 2684 screens in India and raked the business of 5.50 crores. On the next day, as expected the film had showed decent growth in its business and raised its business graph to the figure 6.25 crores. Till the end of its 2 days, total domestic collection of Jai Gangaajal had recorded as 11.75 crores. As per report, it is doing quite decent at overseas box office too.

On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday being public holiday, the day has resulted out in decent but slightly lower than Saturday. On its third day Priyanka Chopra starrer has witnessed almost flat occupancy. Due to the final match of ‘Asia Cup T20 Cricket 2016’, it has not recorded much increment for evening shows. Jai Gangaajal has minted the amount of 5.95 crores on Sunday and made its weekend total as 17.70 crores on Indian screens.
