It has been set in the Rann of Kutch which is one of the hottest and driest deserts. Story of the movie has been appreciated by the audience quite much. It has been depicted over a water scarcity facing village showing the story of young man Bakka played by Purab Kohli, who is overconfident water diviner. Bakka has god gifted special power to search water in the dessert. He tries to solve drought problem of his village but he faces unforeseen circumstances when try to help a female ornithologist. Jal has a cold start in its first weekend with its third day box office collection being just average.

Jal opened with less than 40% occupancy in its first day of release and the trend continued in the whole of the first weekend. As it has to compete toughly with Varun Dhawan’s latest comedy romance Main Tera Hero so third day collection of Jal could only subscribe around 0.50 Crore. Jal has been launched on multiplexes and single screens and it is striving hard to come up with the competition somehow. In its 3 days journey Jal has showed a decent but average performance on box office but we can’t ignore the fact that Jal is a low budget Bollywood movie. So being a les promoted and publicized as well as budgeted movie Jal has shown a good and satisfactory business in 3 days of its release. Let see how well does it manages to prove itself among the public finally in its first week.
