Another weekend has resulted in favor of Hollywood movie at Indian box office. Yes we are talking about Warner Bros & DC’s new offering Justice League, which was released with good buzz across the country and recorded excellent performance throughout it’s opening weekend as expected.
Zack Synder’s directorial this action adventure superhero movie unfortunately got failed to receive desired response at International market, but in India it opened to a solid note on Friday and did the business of 5.25 crores despite being released only in English language.
On the next day i.e. Saturday, Justice League took decent growth and minted the amount of 6.25 crores. While with further growth, it raked the business of 6.75 crores on Sunday and raised it’s opening weekend total collection to 18.25 crores nett. from Indian screens.
On the other hand, Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu was also released with good buzz got failed to open on a desired note due to clutter at box office. On Friday, Suresh Triveni’s directorial started it’s journey on an average note and did the business of 2.87 crores.
Due to favorable response, it took superb growth over the weekend and bagged the amount of 4.61 crores on Saturday and 5.39 crores on Sunday. With this, total 3 days collection of Tumhari Sulu has become 12.87 crores at domestic box office.
While the another Hindi offering erotic thriller Aksar 2 was expected to perform decently at box office but nothing has come out in it’s favor. It opened to a dull note and registered the opening business of only 0.80 crore.
Due to unfavorable reviews, sequel to 2006’s Aksar remained low over the weekend and garnered the business of 1 crore on Saturday and 1.10 crore on Sunday. With this, Aksar 2 has raised it’s opening weekend collection to 2.90 crores.
