R. Balki’s Ki and Ka passes Weekend Test on a Good Note
R. Balki’s directorial romantic comedy film ‘Ki and Ka’ has completed its first three days journey at box office and passed the opening weekend test on a good note. The film has been released this Friday with much pre-release buzz among audience and received positive reviews from most of the critics. This rom-com is not getting 100% positive reviews from audience but still they marked it as a worth watch because of the positive message it conveys through its unique story.
Everybody liked the interesting chemistry between the lead stars Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Their fans are showing immense craze towards the film from the first day. On Friday Ki and Ka had taken a slow start but picked up well from evening shows and minted the decent amount of 7.30 crores in India. On the next day, being Saturday it received little well than Friday and raked 8.41 crores with decent growth in its business.
On the last day of weekend i.e. Sunday, Ki and Ka reported the higher response than last two days and done the business of 9.52 crores. After its third day, the total weekend collection of the film is recorded as 25.23 crores on domestic box office. With these figures, it has dominated the opening weekend collection record of Ghayal Once Again (23.45 cr) & Neerja (22.01 cr) and registered third highest opening weekend collection of the year so far after Airlift (44.30 cr) and Kapoor & Sons (26.35 cr).
