The film was in the waiting list of many viewers and now that it is available in the cinema halls and multiplexes, most of the audience is watching it along with their near and dear ones. With nice opening day and Saturday income, Mary Kom has claimed high Sunday collection due o the day being a holiday. Also one positive fact about the film is that it can be watched with anyone- i.e. it is suitable for youth generations, kids, families and mature audience too hence everyone is showing interest in the film. Also the action packed avatar of Priyanka Chopra as a boxer is also being loved by the viewers very much. In its first three days the film has gained good name and fame on box office with Sunday Income of 12.7 Crores and total first weekend collection of around 30.6 Crores. Though Mary Kom is not a high budget movie neither it has been released on too high number of screens like those of Kick and Singham Returns nor it have any masala element in it like them but these films cannot be compared as Mary Kom is way different in genre and being a non commercial with respect to other two films.
