‘Mastizaade’ & ‘Saala Khadoos’ Faces Loss due to ‘Airlift’
This Friday released two new Hindi films Mastizaade and Saala Khadoos have completed the opening weekend journey at box office with decent audience response. Both the films are facing much loss due to the existing one Airlift of superstar Akshay Kumar. The new releases minted lesser business than last week released war thriller Airlift. This is nothing but the power of content and performances, which made the Akshay starrer to fly too high.
In the opening weekend, Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das starrer Mastizaade recorded the overall occupancy of 30-40% across the country and raked the total business of 18.45 crores on Indian screens that includes 5.59 crores of Friday, 6.11 crores of Saturday and 6.75 crores of Sunday. Wheres due to limited number of screens, R. Madhavan and debutante Ritika Singh starrer Saala Khadoos minted the amount of only 9.93 crores from its Hindi and Tamil versions that includes 2.19 crores of Friday, 3.54 crores of Saturday and 4.20 crores of Sunday.
Now they have entered in the weekdays and as expected witnessing lower response at box office. On Monday, Mastizaade faced the drop of more than 50% and minted the amount of 2.89 crores as its fourth day collection. In parallel Saala Khadoos faced more than 50% drop and done the business of 0.95 crore* that includes 0.80 crore* of Hindi and 0.15 crore* of Tamil version.
