Padman 2nd Day Box Office Collection, Akshay Kumar’s Film Takes Superb Growth on Saturday

After a decent opening on Friday, superstar Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated offering PadMan has shown superb growth on Saturday at the domestic box office. Due to a super positive word of mouth, the film has witnessed a remarkable jump in footfalls across the country.

Directed by R.Balki and produced by Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna, PadMan is not just a film with a social message but it is an initiative to make Indian women talk about their menstrual hygiene rightfully. This is the reason, the film is getting positive remarks from everyone across the globe.

Alongside Akshay Kumar, this biographical drama features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in lead roles. Must say all three have played their characters outstandingly and are being appreciated by all the viewers. Directed R.Balki is also getting praised by the entire Bollywood for making such strong film on a taboo subject.

Being a non-masala film, PadMan opened to a lesser note than expected on Friday. It recorded overall decent occupancy across the country and did the business of 10.26 crores from 2750 screens. With this, it registered the 16th highest opening of Akshay’s career so far.

On the next day i.e. Saturday, the film witnessed a solid growth of approx. 33% than Friday and minted the number of 13.68 crores. After 2 days of release, PadMan raised its total collection to 23.94 crores. Due to a public holiday, Sunday is expected to add an excellent business to its account.
