Padman 4th Day Box Office Collection, Akshay Kumar’s Film Passes Monday on a Decent Note

Despite a decent start at the box office, Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated film PadMan has completed the opening weekend on a good note. Due to favorable remarks, it took noticeable growth over the weekend and also confirmed a steady run on weekdays opposite to a couple of weeks back released biggie Padmaavat.

Being a non-masala film, PadMan recorded lower occupancy than expected in theaters on the first day and did the business of 10.26 crores from 2750 screens across the country. After getting positive reviews, it took a solid growth on Saturday and minted the amount of 13.68 crores.

Then on Sunday, with a further rise in footfalls, it added the amount of 16.11 crores and raised its opening weekend total to 40.05 crores. Now Twinkle Khanna’s debut production has entered in normal working days but still managed to remain steady and passed the crucial Monday test on a decent note.

On the fourth day, PadMan recorded a drop of approx. 43% than Friday and has done the business of 5.87 crores. With this, its 4 days total collection has become 45.92 crores at the domestic box office. Now there is a holiday of Maha Shivaratri on Tuesday, so it could result in higher numbers.

Directed by R.Balki, this socially relevant drama film has got succeed to impress everyone and gained strong word of mouth. After winning hearts with Toilet: Ek Prem Kathasuperstar Akshay Kumar once again receiving huge appreciation from viewers for his outstanding performance and choice of film selection.

Alongside him, PadMan has Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte as leading ladies, who have provided more power to the film with their sincere performances. The director is also being praised by the entire industry for making a relevant film on a taboo topic- menstrual hygiene.
