Last Friday released, Hindi horror film Pari has got failed to make the desired impact on the viewers and completed its first week on an average note. Despite a good star power and interesting promos, it didn’t get much response from the audience at the box office.
Directed by Prosit Roy, Pari received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience unfortunately despite a brilliant performance by Anushka Sharma and this is why it remained behind the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that was released a couple of weeks back.
Due to Holi celebration, the film opened to a slow note in morning and did the business of 4.36 crores with some growth in metro cities from the evening shows. Over the weekend, it took a decent jump and minted the amount of 5.47 crores on Saturday and 5.51 crores on Sunday.
Then on weekdays, as usual, Pari witnessed considerable drops and raked the business of 2.14 crores on Monday, 1.87 crore on Tuesday and 1.73 crore on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, with a further drop, it bagged the amount of 1.67 crore and raised its one week total collection to 22.75 crores at the domestic box office.
From the next week, Pari will have three more noticeable releases- Hate Story IV, 3 Storeys, and Dil Juunglee in the opposite along with the strongly-running Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, so there are no positive hopes with it for the second week.
