Race 3 1st Day Box Office Collection, Salman Khan starrer Registers Best Opening of 2018

The new installment to the Race film franchise has as expected taken a tremendous opening across India and become the highest opener of 2018 at the Indian box office so far. It has dominated the record set by Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 (25.10 crores) from 3500 screens nationwide.

Starring superstar Salman Khan in a lead role along with Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, and Saqib Saleem, Race 3 has received mixed reviews from the critics for its direction. But still, the craze of the audience is on next level which helped the film to take a massive start.

On Friday, Remo Dsouza’s directorial opened on a wonderful note with 50-55% of occupancy across the country and remained strong throughout the day across single as well as multi-screens. With a considerable growth from evening shows, the mass entertainer registered the opening business of 29.17 crores nett at the domestic box office from 4000 screens.

With this, Race 3 has acquired the first position amongst top Hindi openers of 2018 and also emerged as the fifth highest opener of Salman Khan’s career after Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Ek Tha Tiger. Talking about Eid, then it is the third highest Eid opener for Salman after Sultan & ETT.

As per current trend, the first-ever collaboration of Tips Films & Salman Khan Films is positively expected to take a healthy jump in footfalls post noon shows on Saturday. Sunday also seems massive for this multi-starer action thriller, which means it will join the 100-crore club by the opening weekend most likely.
