Despite mixed reactions from viewers, superstar Salman Khan’s latest offering Race 3 has joined the 100-crore club at the domestic box office within the opening weekend. With this, it has become the 6th Hindi film of the year so far to cross this mark after Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, Baaghi 2, and Raazi.
Produced by Tips Films & Salman Khan Films, Race 3 hasn’t got succeed to impress viewers with its content but doing the same with its phenomenal performance at the box office globally. The solid star power of Salman helped the film to remain super-strong throughout the opening weekend.
On the first day, as expected Remo Dsouza’s directorial opened on a tremendous note despite being released pre-Eid and registered the best opening of 2018 in Hindi Cinema with 29.17 crores. With this, it has also emerged as the fifth highest opener of Salman Khan’s career.
Then on Saturday (Eid), Race 3 showed a healthy jump in footfalls post noon shows and raked the business of 38.14 crores. On the next day i.e. Sunday, with a further growth, the film bagged the amount of 39.16 crores and raised its first 3-days total collection to 106.47 crores from 4000 screens across India.
Clearly, the third installment of Race franchise has reported a wonderful performance at the box office so far but now it can witness a heavy fall on weekdays due to mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience. Let see how it will pass the normal working days with unfavorable remarks.
