More than a month back released, the biopic of Indian actor Sanjay Dutt ‘Sanju’ has completed its 6 weeks journey at the box office and has achieved a phenomenal height. So far it has registered numerous records and become the third highest grossing movie of all time in Hindi cinema after Baahubali 2 & Dangal.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju has received rave reviews from the viewers and gained a very strong word of mouth. As a result, it did the business of 341.22 crores in last 5 weeks, that included 202.51 crores of the first, 92.67 crores of the second, 31.62 crores of the third, 10.48 crores of the fourth & 3.94 crores of the fifth week.
In the 6th weekend, Ranbir Kapoor starrer registered the business of 1.06 crore with 0.20 crore on 6th Friday, 0.36 crore on 6th Saturday & 0.50 crore on 6th Sunday. Then on weekdays, with a usual drop, Sanju minted 0.15 crore on 6th Monday, 0.15 crore on 6th Tuesday, 0.14 crore on 6th Wednesday & 0.14 crore on 6th Thursday. With this, the total collection of Sanju after 6 weeks has become 342.86 crores.
On the other hand, the Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat ‘Dhadak‘ has completed its 3 weeks at the box office and showed an excellent performance so far despite starring newcomers, getting mixed reviews from the critics and having several new offerings in parallel.
In the last 2 weeks, Shashank Khaitan’s directorial did the business of 69.17 crores with 51.56 crores in the first & 17.61 crores in the second week. In the 3rd weekend, it came down but still managed to collect 2.64 crores that included 0.50 crore of 3rd Friday, 0.75 crore of 3rd Saturday & 1.25 crores of 3rd Sunday.
Then on weekdays, with a usual drop, Ishaan Khatter & Janhvi Kapoor starrer bagged the amount of 0.40 crore on 3rd Monday, 0.40 crore on 3rd Tuesday, 0.35 crore on 3rd Wednesday & 0.35 crore on 3rd Thursday. With this, the total collection of Dhadak after 3 weeks has become 73.17 crores nett.
