Sanju 7th Day Box Office Collection, Sanjay Dutt Biopic joins 200-Crore Club within a Week

The biopic of Indian actor Sanjay Dutt, Sanju is reigning the box office from the very first day of release. After the blockbuster opening weekend, it remained super-strong on weekdays as well and joined the 200-crore club within in a week of release domestically without any bonus holiday. With this, the movie has also registered the highest opening week of the year so far.

Directed by the ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju has successfully impressed all the viewers as expected. The movie has received very positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience and gained a strong word of mouth. As a result, it has surpassed the lifetime total of superstar Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (198.78 crores).

Starring the powerhouse of talent Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt, this biographical drama took a tremendous start at the box office. After a record opening, it remained fantastic over the weekend and did the business of 120.06 crores, that included 34.75 crores on Friday, 38.60 crores on Saturday, and 46.71 crores on Sunday.

Then on weekdays as well, Sanju showed an impressive performance. On Monday, it faced a drop of 27.05% than Friday and did the business of 25.35 crores. With further small decrements in footfalls, the movie bagged the amount of 22.10 crores on Tuesday and 18.90 crores on Wednesday.

On the next day i.e. Thursday, following the trend, Fox Star Studios’ presentation collected the amount of 16.10 crores and raised its one week total to 202.51 crores at the domestic box office from 4000 screens. After going past Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (188.57 crores), it has become the highest grossing movie of Ranbir Kapoor’s career so far.
