Satyameva Jayate 8th Day Collection, John Abraham starrer Surpasses Parmanu within 8 Days

John Abraham’s latest offering Satyameva Jayate that was released on Independence Day, has surpassed the lifetime total collection of his last movie Parmanu (65.89 crores) within 8 days of release at the domestic box office despite having superstar Akshay Kumar’s successfully running Gold in its parallel.

Vigilante action thriller Satyameva Jayate is directed by Milap Milan Zaveri and has received mixed reviews from the critics because of its ineffective story-line and some flaws in direction. But this mass entertainer got succeed to entertain the single screen audience and gained a good word of mouth.

John Abraham, Manoj Bajpayee & Aisha Sharma starrer was released amid the very good excitement of fans and surprisingly took an amazing start. By remaining almost steady throughout the 5-days extended weekend despite a major drop on day-2, SMJ did the business of 56.91 crores, that included 20.52 crores on Friday, 7.92 crores on Thursday, 9.18 crores on Friday, 9.03 crores on Saturday, and 10.26 crores on Sunday.

Now Satyameva Jayate is running on weekdays and as usual, getting lower footfalls in theaters than earlier. On Monday, it faced a drop of 52.53% than Thursday and minted the amount of 3.76 crores. Then on Tuesday, with a similar response, the movie managed to collect the amount of 3.79 crores.

On the next day i.e. 2nd Wednesday, Satyameva Jayate witnessed a further jump due to Eid-Al-Adha holiday and raked the business of 6.67 crores. With this, its 8 days total collection has become 71.13 crores at the domestic box office from 2500 screens.
