The movie has started with the second highest opening amount of the year so far in Bollywood and also registered highest ever opening of lead star Akshay’s career. Most of the critics have reviewed it with positive comments and showed it thumbs up. As a result everything has started moving in favor of the movie. Singh Is Bliing has come out as best performer movie of Akshay’s career after his last release Brothers. It is his second movie with Prabhu, last they worked together in Rowdy Rathore and that was also a successful collaboration. On its very first day being a holiday of Gandhi Jayanti, Singh Is Bliing was recorded the excellent occupancy of 80% across the country and did the whopping business of 20.67 crores. This is the second best opening figure of the year after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. On the next day i.e. Saturday, movie showed a considerable drop in its occupancy as well as business and collected the amount of 14.50 crores as its second day collection.

Till the end of its second day, total collection of the movie was calculated as 35.17 crores. As per sources, it has minted the amount of approximately 10 crores* from overseas screens till Saturday. On the last day of the weekend i.e. Sunday, being a holiday it witnessed a good growth in its occupancy and as a result made the higher business of 19.27 crores. Till the end of weekend, total collection of Singh Is Bliing is recorded as 54.44 crores.
