Since its release, Hindi horror comedy Stree is performing very well at the box office on the single as well as multi-screens. By remaining unaffected of all the parallel offerings, it has finally joined the 100-crore club and become the 9th Hindi movie of the year to cross this mark.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner Maddock Films, Stree has received mostly positive reviews from the viewers for its interesting and unusual story-line. As a result, it remained strong throughout the opening week and did the business of 60.39 crores with 32.27 crores on the weekend and 28.12 crores on weekdays from 1950 screens.
Then in the second week as well, Amar Kaushik’s directorial has maintained a very good pace and registered the business of 35.14 crores that included 21.90 crores on the weekend and 13.24 crores on weekdays from 1770 screens. After 2 weeks, the total collection of the movie was recorded at 95.53 crores.
Now Stree is running in the third week and despite several new releases, it passed the weekend on a solid note. On 3rd Friday, it witnessed a drop of 43.10% than the previous day and raked the business of 2.14 crores. Then on 3rd Saturday, it took a healthy growth and minted the amount of 3.76 crores.
On the next day i.e. 3rd Sunday, Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao starrer managed to collect the amount of 4.75 crores and raised its 17 days total collection to 106.18 crores. With this, it has surpassed the lifetime total of Raid (103.07 crores) and emerged the 8th highest grossing movie of the year so far.
