Stree 9th Day Collection, Shraddha-Rajkummar starrer Surpasses John’s Parmanu by 2nd Saturday

With a maintained pace, last week released Hindi horror comedy Stree is running strongly in its second weekend as well despite having the much-awaited new Hollywood movie The Nun & several Hindi offerings in the opposite. Showing a strong run throughout, it has surpassed the lifetime total of John Abraham’s Parmanu (65.89 crores) within 9 days of release.

Starring Shraddha Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, Stree is based on an unusual plot. Still Amar Kaushik’s directorial got succeed to hit the target right and received mostly positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience and gained a good word of mouth across the country.

After a surprising opening, Maddock Films’ production showed a solid uptrend over the first weekend and did the business of 32.27 crores with 6.83 crores on Friday, 10.87 crores on Saturday, and 14.57 crores on Sunday.

Then on weekdays as well, Stree remained strong and minted the amount of 9.70 crores on Monday, 6.37 crores on Tuesday, 6.55 crores on Wednesday & 5.50 crores on Thursday. After a week, the total collection of the movie was recorded at 60.39 crores nett from 1950 screens.

Now it is running in the 2nd weekend and still has a very good hold over the audience in single as well as multi-screen cinemas. On 2nd Friday, it did the business of 4.39 crores after just a drop of 20.2%. On 2nd Saturday, with a healthy jump, Stree collected 7.63 crores and raised 9 days total collection to 72.41 crores.
