12 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan

Superstar Salman Khan’s latest giant release Sultan completes its second weekend on an impressive note. Being very much awaited movie of the year, this Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial has been released with enormous buzz among audience and received overwhelmed response across the globe. From critics too it has received very positive reviews, which has generated good word of mouth about the movie on box office.

In the opening week Sultan cashed 5-days weekend and 4 weekdays, as it has been released two days earlier than the normal release. It did the business of total 180.36 crores in the weekend including 36.54 crores of Wednesday, 37.32 crores of Thursday, 31.67 crores of Friday, 36.62 crores of Saturday and 38.21 crores of Sunday.

In weekdays, it witnessed almost 75% of drop than weekend and minted the amount of 48.80 crores with 15.54 crores of Monday, 12.92 crores of Tuesday, 10.82 crores of Wednesday and 9.52 crores of Thursday. After a week, Sultan total collection was recorded as 229.16 crores nett and 320.82 crores gross with 117.15 crores from overseas market.

Now the movie is running in its second week and once again showed impressive rise in its second weekend. On Friday it faced little drop than previous day and did the business of 7.43 crores. On Saturday, being weekend Sultan showed impressive growth in its business and minted the amount of 11.46 crores.

On the last day of the weekend i.e. Sunday, being holiday Yash Raj Films’ this latest venture has reported higher occupancy than Saturday and added the amount of around 15.18 crores to its account. With this, its domestic total till second weekend has become 263.23 crores.

So far, Sultan has surpassed the lifetime total of many biggies and now at the fourth position among the top highest grossing movies of all time in Bollywood after PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Dhoom 3. If the movie maintains the same pace then till the end of its second week, it will also surpass Dhoom 3 (284.27 crores).
