16 Days Total Collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan

Yash Raj Films’ latest venture Sultan completes its two weeks journey on box office phenomenally. Being superstar Salman Khan starrer this sports drama has been released with enormous buzz among audience across the globe. As expected it reported tremendous performance through out its opening weekend and received overwhelmed response from audience. Critics have also reviewed it with favorable comments, which generated strong word of mouth about it.

In the opening week, Sultan did the gigantic business of 229.16 crores with 180.36 crores of 5-days weekend and 48.80 crores of weekdays. The weekend total includes 36.54 crores of Wednesday, 37.32 crores of Thursday, 31.67 crores of Friday, 36.62 crores of Saturday and 38.21 crores of Sunday. In weekdays it witnessed the drop of almost 75% and did the business of 15.54 crores of Monday, 12.92 crores of Tuesday, 10.82 crores of Wednesday and 9.52 crores of Thursday.

In its second weekend, the movie again showed impressive growth in its occupancy and raked the business of 34.07 crores with  7.43 crores of Friday, 11.46 crores of Saturday and 15.18 crores of Sunday. In weekdays, asusual it faced considerable drops and minted 4.08 crores of Monday, 3.72 crores of Tuesday and 3.42 crores of Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, Sultan reported almost similar response and done slightly higher business of 3.51 crores as its 16th day collection.

After two weeks, total collection of the movie has become 277.96 crores on domestic box office. So far Salman Khan starrer has shattered many records and now at the fourth position among top highest grossing movies of all time in Bollywood. By the third weekend, it is positively expected to surpass the lifetime business of Dhoom 3 (284.27 crores including Hindi, Tamil & Telugu versions).
