‘Tamasha’ has Minted 53.46 Cr in its Opening Week!

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer Tamasha has completed its one week journey at box office with decent total. The performance it showed is not even near to the earlier expectations but still the movie has managed to be on the safe side. This romantic drama was released on 27th November with a screen count of 2100 in India. From critics it had received mixed reviews because of its complex story line and average music. From audience too, it had received cold reactions but due to star power & appreciable performance of both the stars, Tamasha has collected reputed business figures through out its first week.

The movie was recorded overall decent occupancy in theaters and minted the total amount of 53.46 crores in first week, that comprises 38.23 crores of weekend and rest 15.23 crores of weekdays. From its overseas screens, it has done the business of approx. 30 crores. Now it has been entered in the second week and due to new release Hate Story 3, it is facing heavy drops in its occupancy as well as business.

On its second Friday, Tamasha has received very less occupancy of 10-15% across the country and minted the amount of only 1.72 crore as its 8th day collection. As Hate Story 3 is getting decent response from audience, so there is no chance for Tamasha to retain its pace. The movie is expected to add near about 10 crores more to its account in this week.
