‘The Jungle Book’ Emerges as 2nd Highest Opening Week Grosser of 2016

Walt Disney’s latest offering the fantasy adventure movie ‘The Jungle Book’ is performing tremendously in India. From the very day, the movie is storming on box office and witnessing amazing response. It has received positive reviews from critics as well as moviegoers. Everyone liked it and showed big thumbs up for reminding the childhood with such super quality visual effects. Because of wide scale promotions and association of Indian stars, The Jungle Book has received fabulous response from Indian audience and registered second highest opening weekend record of the year so far after Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift.

The Jungle Book has been released last Friday in India, i.e. a week before than its US release (April 15). In the opening weekend, it witnessed tremendous business and minted the amount of total 40.47 cr, that includes 10.09 cr of Friday, 13.51 cr of Saturday and 16.87 cr of Sunday. With such massive performance, this latest one has dominated the opening record of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and all Indian movies released this year till yet except Airlift.

Now the movie is running in weekdays and still raking impressive business figures. On Monday it faced more than 50% of drop and minted the amount of 7.60 cr as its fourth day collection. Then on the next day i.e. Tuesday with slight more drop it 7.07 cr. On Wednesday, it showed rise and added the amount of 7.97 cr to its account; made its 6 days total collection as 63.11 cr across India.
