The Nun, Paltan, Laila Majnu & Gali Guleiyan 3rd Day Box Office Collection, 1st Weekend Report

Once again the Hollywood movie has dominated all the adjacent Hindi offerings at the Indian box office. Despite mixed reviews all across the globe, horror movie The Nun got succeed to attract major crowd toward theaters and showed a solid performance throughout the opening weekend in India.

Directed by Corin Hardy, The Nun is the newest installment of the most popular horror franchise Conjuring. Being much-awaited, it opened on a strong note and did the business of 8 crores on Friday, also collected the amount of 0.30 crore on Thursday from the limited previews.

On Saturday, it witnessed a fair growth in footfalls and registered the business of 10.20 crores. On the next day i.e. Sunday, The Nun recorded further jump and collected the amount of 10 crores. After 3 days, the total collection of the movie has become 28.50 crores nett from 1603 screens across India including all the versions.

In parallel, JP Dutta’s war drama Paltan has got failed to make an impact on viewers like Border & LOC Kargil did. It did the business of 1.28 crores on Friday, while collected 1.73 crores on Saturday. On Sunday, with a further growth, this multi-starrer Hindi movie minted 2.23 crores and raised 3 days total collection to 5.24 crores.

On the other hand, Imtiaz Ali’s production Laila Majnu remained low throughout the opening weekend due to cold reactions and bagged the amount of 0.45 crore on Friday, 0.56 crore on Saturday & 79 crore on Sunday. While Manoj Bajpayee’s Gali Guleiyan hasn’t got enough occupancy and minted 0.05 crore on Friday, 0.07 crore on Saturday & 0.06 crore on Sunday.
