The newly released action thriller Tamil movie of superstar Kamal Haasan is doing well at box office. Being the highly star powered, it has good hype among audience and getting overwhelmed response across the country as well as overseas. One more action movie from Tamil Cinema of superstar Ajith Kumar, Vedalam has been released opposite to Kamal Haasan’s Thoongavanam. It has released on 520 screen in Tamil Nadu and showing phenomenal performance at box office from the very first day. Ajith is one of the most popular actor in South India and has very high fan following among audience, that is why his latest movie has good hype at box office.

Vedalam had recorded the occupancy of 80-85% on its first day and did the highest business of 15.50 crores in the history of Kollywood. With this figure, it has dominated the highest opening record of superstar Rajini’s Lingaa. From the next day, the movie had started facing drop in occupancy as well as business. It has collected the amount of 10 crores on Wednesday, 8.5 crores on Thursday & 6.5 crores on Friday. On Saturday, it has recorded slight dip in its business and minted the amount of 5.90 crores* as its fifth day collection.
