Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Soaring at Box Office

Sooraj Bartajya & Rajshri Productions’ latest venture Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has taken an outstanding start at box office. The movie has released on 4500 screens in India and 1100 screens in overseas on 12 Nov. It has received very positive reviews from most of the critics as well as movie buffs. Audience find the movie very entertaining and giving overwhelmed response to it. Positive word of mouth has created a favorable environment for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo at box office and as a result it has registered the year’s highest opening so far.

On it very first day, PRDP has grossed the amount of 40.35 crores from its Hindi screens in India. This is the highest opening of Salman Khan’s career and the all time second highest opening in the history of Bollywood after Shahrukh Khan’s last year blockbuster Happy New Year. With the Telugu & Tamil version, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has minted less than a crore and its first day total collection is recorded as approx. 41 crores. On overseas screens too, the movie has reported an excellent business of 10.62 crores on Thursday, it wasn’t a holiday there.

On its second day in India, the movie has witnessed considerable drop in the occupancy but still performed outstandingly. It has collected the amount of 31.05 crores with its Hindi screens on Friday with drop of almost 20%. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is a family entertainer and is being loved by everyone. It is strongly expected to cross the mark of 120 crore till this weekend at domestic box office.
