‘Tamasha’ Completes its Opening Weekend with 35+ Cr in India
Imtiaz Ali’s directorial latest romantic drama movie Tamasha is getting mixed reviews from audience as well as critics but grossing decently at box office. The movie has released out this Friday on 2100 screens in India and witnessing decent audience response across the country. In overseas, it has been released with a screen count of 571 and doing quite well there too in terms of business. As it features Bollywood’s one of the hottest jodis Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone as main leads, so it has good hype among moviegoers. Both the stars have very high fan following among audience worldwide, their fans are creating buzz about Tamasha on social media. Only because of that, the movie is getting decent occupancy in theaters.
Ranbir & Deepika have shown brilliant performance in the movie, even though the complex story disappoints most of the audience & critics. But still because of star power and the support of fans, Tamasha is performing decently at box office. Film trade analysts do not have any high expectations with it in weekdays. They says, most of viewers are watching Tamasha because this week they do not have any other option to go for.
On its very first day, Tamasha was recorded over occupancy of more than 40% across the country and minted the amount of 10.94 crores. On the next day, it was witnessed the growth of 21% in its business and grossed 13.17 crores as its second day collection. Today being the main day of weekend i.e. Sunday, this romantic drama has received slightly well response than yesterday and collected the amount of 14.12 crores. Till the end of its third day, total opening weekend collection of Tamasha is estimated as 38.23 crores at domestic box office.
