‘Dilwale’ gets affected by new Releases
Superstar Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer action comedy ‘Dilwale’ is about to packed up soon. The last month released this film has started on an excellent note at box office but slowed down so early and as a result, it is being lagged behind Bajirao Mastani that was released on the same day and was not expected to get better than Dilwale. But due to strong word of mouth, Bajirai Mastani has taken the lead and still getting well on Indian screens.
Rohit Shetty’s directorial Dilwale has become the fifth highest grosser of year 2015 and expected to acquire the 4th position till its lifetime. Now the film has lost almost all its pace and now just crawling at box office to add small figures to its account. The stardom of Shahrukh was also stopped working after the opening week. On overseas screens, Dilwale is getting terrific response and has grossed more than 150 crores till yet from there.
This film has collected the amount of 146.68 crores in last three weeks on Indian screens. The total collection is comprised with 102.65 crores (weekend- 65.09 cr & weekdays- 37.56 cr) of first week, 32.56 crores (weekend- 21.23 cr & weekdays- 11.33 cr) of second week and 11.47 crores (weekend- 7.71 cr & weekdays- 3.76 cr) of third week. Now it has entered in its fourth week and as expected witnessing low audience response.
On the first day of its fourth week i.e. 22nd day, Dilwale has recorded the occupancy of 10% and raked the business of only 0.41 crore* as it fourth Friday collection. Till the end of the day, total collection of this film is calculated as 147.09 crores*.
