Jai Gangaajal 6th Day Collection; Crosses 25 Cr as Total Business in India

‘Jai Gangaajal’ Gets Decent Business in India and Average in Overseas

This week’s latest offering ‘Jai Gangaajal’ directed by the ace filmmaker Prakash Jha, is performing not so impressively as it was earlier expected to do. Being India’s one of the most popular actresses Priyanka Chopra starrer, everybody had good hope with this action thriller. This is the sequel of 2003’s super hit film Gangaajal, that features Ajay Devgn in lead role. But this time the lead role has played by Priyanka, which is also being appreciated by audience but still Jai Gangaajal is not witnessing much satisfied response in theaters. The film had taken decent start at box office and completed the opening weekend on almost flat note.

In its very first weekend, Jai Gangaajal had witnessed the overall occupancy of 15-25% on 2684 screens in India and raked the business of total 17.70 crores. The weekend total includes, 5.50 crores of Friday, 6.25 crores of Saturday and 5.95 crores of Sunday. On the last day of weekend, due to the final match of ‘T20 Cricket Asia Cup 2016’ between India-Bangladesh, the film had faced heavy fall in the occupancy of evening shows.

Now it is running in weekdays and being normal working days, Jai Gangaajal is not getting much occupancy. On Monday, it managed to collect decent amount of 2.90 crores due to the holiday of Mahashivratri. But on next day, it had witnessed abrupt fall in its response as well as business and minted the amount of 2.30 crores* as its 5th day collection. On Wednesday, with almost similar response, the film has collected the amount of 2.18 crores*. Till the end of its 6th day, total domestic collection of Jai Gangaajal is recorded as 25.08 crores*.
