Last Friday released family drama film ‘Kapoor & Sons’ has completed its one week journey at box office on an excellent note. The film has received overwhelmed response from audience across the country as well as in overseas. Critics have also reviewed it with very positive words, which has proved very beneficial for it. With such impressive performance through out, Kapoor & Sons has become the third highest grosser Hindi film of year 2016 so far after Airlift and Neerja.

Karan Johar’s one of the best films, Kapoor & Sons had taken terrific start in its opening weekend and raked the business of total 26.35 crores from Indian screens, that includes 6.85 crores of Friday, 7.75 crores of Saturday and 11.75 crores of Sunday. Till the end of weekend, from overseas too it had reported excellent business of 19.27 crores. This shows, that the film has made special place in the heart of audience. In weekdays, as often it has faced lesser footfall than weekend but still successfully maintained a decent pace till the end.

On Monday with more than 50% of drop, it did the business of 5.08 crores. Then with gradual fall in occupancy, it added 4.50 crores on Tuesday and 4.35 crores on Wednesday. On the last day of week i.e. Thursday, being Holi Kapoor & Sons started the day on an average note but reported sudden rise in its business from evening and minted 6.65 crores. Till the end of its 7th day, total collection of the film is recorded as 46.93 crores at domestic box office.
