Ki and Ka 2nd Day Collection, Witnesses Decent Growth on Saturday

‘Ki and Ka’ has Registered 3rd Highest Opening of 2016

Bollywood fans always support romantic & comedy movies and when both genres come together, it mostly gets a solid start. But this initial buzz helps only till the opening day, further performance depends on the audience reactions. Yes we are talking on this, because of the latest rom-com offering ‘Ki and Ka’ which has taken a decent entry on box office this Friday and registered third highest opening of the year so far after Airlift and Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3. The movie has good hype among audience due to the star power of Arjun Kapoor & Kareena Kapoor Khan, and ofcourse because of wide scale promotions.

Ki and Ka has released on around 1700 screens nationwide and on 500 screens in overseas. On Friday, it had started the day with overall occupancy of 15-20% in India, but picked up well in evening due to positive response by critics as well as audience. It has raked the business of 7.30 crores on its first day from the country and reported quite decent performance from overseas too. On Indian screens, major contribution in its business is made by metro cities.

On Saturday being partial holiday, Ki and Ka has witnessed little higher occupancy than Friday and showed decent growth in its business. The movie has minted the amount of 8.41 crores as the second day collection and made its 2 days domestic total as 15.71 crores. Audience is responding in favor of it, so Sunday is expected to result in slightly better business than first two days.
