Karan Johar’s Kapoor and Sons Crosses 69 Cr at Domestic Box Office
Filmmaker Karan Johar’s latest offering, the worth watch family entertainer ‘Kapoor and Sons’ has already completed its two weeks at box office on an excellent note. The film has been released with decent pre-release hype among audience but reported impressive business in the opening weekend and received very positive reviews from critics. Audience find it very entertaining and showed big thumbs up to it. Critics marked Kapoor and Sons as one of the best films from Dharma Productions’ banner and that is a great compliment.
In the first week, Kapoor and Sons had received excellent response and minted the amount of 46.93 crores, that includes 35.93 crores of weekend and 11 crores of weekdays. In the second too it reported well and raked the business of 18.14 crores, that includes 12.09 crores of weekend and 6.10 crores of weekdays. After the two weeks, the total collection of the film was recorded as 65.07 crores from India and around 40 crores from overseas.
Now Kapoor and Sons is running in its second week and showed quite decent performance in the weekend. It witnessed comparatively better response than last week release Rocky Handsome and minted the collection of total 3.95 crores on Indian screens, including 0.90 crore of Friday, 1.45 crore of Saturday and 1.60 crore of Sunday. Till the end of its 17 days, total domestic collection of the film is recorded as 69.02 crores and 43.71 crores from overseas market.
