Sajid Nadiadwala’s Baaghi Flying with Slow but Steady Pace
Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s latest presentation, Baaghi has performed very impressively so far. The Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff starrer action romantic movie has been released with good buzz among audience and received favorable response from audience across the globe. Despite mixed reviews from critics, it has successfully dragged itself to a safe side and has crossed the mark of 70 cr at Indian box office in 12 days of release. At worldwide box office it has raked over 115 cr, that includes domestic collection, distribution shares and overseas business of around 17 cr.
In its very first week, the movie registered the third highest opening week collection of the year so far after Akshay Kumar’s Airlift and Shahrukh Khan’s Fan with total business of 59.72 cr, that includes 38.58 cr of weekend and 21.14 cr of weekdays. In its second weekend, due to the much awaited new Hollywood biggie Captain America Civil War, its performance get affected by little and recorded as 7.91 cr, that includes 2.31 cr of Friday, 2.43 cr of Saturday and 3.17 cr of Sunday. After the 10 days, total domestic collection of Baaghi was calculated as 67.63 cr.
Now the movie is once again running in weekdays and as expected getting lesser response than weekend. On its 2nd Monday it reported almost decent performance and raked the business of 1.38 cr as its 11th day collection. On the next day, it faced slight more drop and added the amount of 1.21 cr to its account. After the 12th day, total collection of Baaghi is recorded as 70.22 cr on domestic box office.
